Reports have confirmed that CAT 2019 Result has been declared today i.e. on 4th January 2020 – Saturday. Like every year, the CAT Results have been published online on the official website i.e. Candidates who have appeared for MBA entrance exam can log onto the official website and download CAT 2019 scorecard easily by using their login credentials. CAT Result 2019 Normalization process

CAT 2019 aspirants preparing for the most coveted entrance exam must be familiar with the CAT normalization process. As we know the CAT exam is conducted in the computer-based format in two-time slots- morning and evening, hence the papers are different in each slot meaning the difficulty level of both the slots may vary. Even though there is no such official report which supports such a claim. However, industry experts and students feedbacks suggest there may be variation in difficulty level in both the slots. To ensure equity in the performances of students in different slots, the scores will be subjected to the CAT Normalization Process.

The scaled scores obtained to post the normalization process will be converted into percentiles for shortlisting purpose.

CAT Cut off 2019

CAT cut off 2019 will be released after the CAT Result 2019 is declared. The cut off may vary from category to category. CAT 2019 aspirants can check the CAT cut off of last year in the table given below;

What after CAT Result 2019?

After the CAT 2019 results are declared, each participating institute including IIMs will release their official CAT 2019 cut off. On the basis of the performance in the CAT exam, participating institutes will shortlist the candidates for selection rounds. CAT 2019 selection process comprises of Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

CAT 2019 Selection Procedure

Candidates who perform exceptionally in the CAT 2019 exam will be further shortlisted for selection procedure. The selection procedure of CAT 2019 may contain WAT, GD & PI. The CAT 2019 selection criteria are likely to take place in March/ May 2020. Candidates who make it to the shortlisted list will be further called for GD & PI rounds. Lastly, the final admission offer is made on the basis of:

CAT Participating Institutes 2019

Apart from the IIMs, there are over 100 B-schools that will accept the CAT 2019 scores. Generally most of the B-schools in India accept the CAT scores. JNU is the latest institute to be added to the CAT 2019 participating institutes list. Private institutes such as Delhi School of Economics, FMS, Delhi, IIFM, NITIE and DMS IIT Delhi accept the CAT scores.
