RRB Group D Exam Date 2020 Admit Card will released after 2nd November; Recruitment processes will go on till at least 2022
The prospective Exam Conducting Agency has to fill the tender form worth Rs 20,000, and pay an earnest money deposit of Rs 50 lakh. Process of ECA finalization will probably go on till at least mid-November.
Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) are looked forward to make any official announcement on RRB Group D exam date 2020, as well as RRB Group D admit card 2020 only after November 2, 2020.
This is because this is the last date for receipt of offers / bids for e-tender on finalization of exam conducting agency (ECA). RRB Bhopal is looking after the process of finalizing ECA for the RRB Group D recruitment exams. And as per the tender notification, it will accept bids till 2 PM of November 2, 2020. And at 3 PM, it will open technical bids received in response to the tender. After that, they will open financial bids of only offers who secure at least 75% in the technical score.
As per the last announcement through the press information bureau, exams should start from December 15, 2020. If this schedule has to be followed, then the exam city and date intimation process must happen in November-December, and admit cards should release in December at least 4 days prior to the exam.
Another important point to note in the tender notification is that it says the completion period of the work to be 2 years. So if the agency is finalized this year, then the processes are expected to be completed by the year 2022. However if for some reason the finalization gets delayed to 2021, then the complete cycle may get stretched to the year 2023. All in all, railway job aspirants are in for a long ride till they start their career in Indian Railways, India’s largest employer in terms of numbers.
The total cost that railways is planning to incur on holding the recruitment exams for level 1 posts recruitment is Rs 353.98 crores. Exactly 1,15,67,248 candidates had applied for this recruitment against RRC CEN 01/2019. Although the total cost may seem high, if we divide it by the number of applicants, then the cost is only Rs 306 per candidate.
RRBs have charged a fee of Rs 250 from PWBD, female, transgender, ex-s, SC, ST, minority, EBC candidates. And they charged Rs 500 from other candidates. Calculations by several news reports show that the total fee accrued would be anywhere between Rs 315 to Rs 600 crores.
However, it is relevant to note that railways shall refund the fee of Rs 250 to the first category of students. And they will refund Rs 400 to the latter category of candidates after both have appeared in CBT.
Prepare for RRB Group D exam with mock tests, and other recruitment exams
The computer based test for RRB Group D recruitment will have 25, 25, 30, 20 questions respectively from general science, maths, intelligence and reasoning, and general awareness and current affairs. Those who have been preparing for the exam since applications were filled should now focus on taking more and more mock tests. Plus, since the exam is quite some time away, and also the whole process will take 2-3 years till completion, it is also a good idea to appear in other government job exams which have similar syllabus. This includes SSC exams, bank job exams, and other railway exams.
