UTET 2021: apply to become a teacher in Uttarakhand
UTET 2021 Candidates with Class 12 or graduate educational qualification are eligible to apply for Level 1 of UTET.
Uttarakhand Board of School Education has recently released the official notification for UTET. Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET) is conducted to determine the eligibility of qualified candidates for recruitment as a teacher of classes 1 to 8 in the state. For this, candidates can register themselves. Like many other states of India, TET also has its own examinations in Uttarakhand. The last date of application for this is 18 February. Candidates can apply online on the official website ukutet.com . The proposed date of UTET exam is 24 March.
Application fee: According to the UTET new notification, candidates can pay the application fee till 20 February (5 pm). The application fee for UTET can be paid online using debit or credit card only. It is essential that the candidates follow all the guidelines while applying online as per the prescribed schedule. This is because the UTET Admit Card is issued by the Board only to those candidates who successfully register and apply online.
Eligibility: Some minimum eligibility criteria have to be met to apply for the UBSE TET exam. The UTET exam is conducted for two different levels, therefore, the eligibility criteria also vary for each level. UTET paper 1 is for determining eligibility to teach in classes 1 to 5, while paper 2 is for determining eligibility to teach in classes 6 to 8. Candidates preparing for the exam note that both papers have different syllabus.
Level wise, candidates with educational qualification of class 12 or graduate are eligible to apply for Level 1 of UTET. However, there are additional conditions that must be fulfilled in addition to passing class 12 or graduation. For example, candidates who have passed 12th standard with 50 percent marks and are eligible for two-year diploma in elementary education / special education or four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education UTET level. 1. If a candidate is class 12th pass 45 percent number and as per NCTE rules in 2002 has two year diploma in elementary education, they can also apply.
Graduate candidates can also apply for UTET level. 1. Graduate candidates who have a two-year diploma in elementary education are eligible to apply for Level 1 of UTET. Candidates who have graduated with 50 percent marks and possess Bachelor of Education qualification, they can also apply for Level 1 of UTET. However, such applicants should also have Shiksha Mitra diploma in primary education from IGNOU.
According to UTET scheme and exam pattern, both child development and pedagogy and language are common subjects. Candidates are advised to refer to the previous year paper of UTET for a detailed understanding of the type and pattern of questions asked in the exam.
